State, Catholic schools to mobilize thousands on Sunday rally
The University of the Philippines Diliman and Manila Student Councils and the Sanggunian ng mga Mag-aaral ng Miriam College will lead other student councils from state universities and private, Catholic schools in a press conference tomorrow to announce the student and youth sector’s “12 Days of Con-Ass-free Christmas” and its participation in the mammoth prayer rally on December 17.
The 12-day campaign kicks off with a simultaneous noise barrage and candle lighting in school consortiums in the university belt (in front of University of Santo Tomas) and Katipunan avenue (in front of Miriam College ).
The said student councils are part of the Youth Against Charter Change and Tyranny (Y-CHAT), an anti-Cha-Cha youth network initiated by the Kabataan Party.
